Case Law supported by the Boards of Appeal of the EPO

The "Case Law" seminar provides an overview of the most recent key decisions and developments in the EPO’s board of appeal case law. This collection of lectures offers a range of subjects, including procedural and substantive topics, and with a mixture of general-interest and more field-specific topics. Organised by the epi with the support of the EPO Boards of Appeal and the European Patent Academy, the seminar also includes the demonstration of a mock EPO Opposition Appeal Oral Proceedings.

Litigation Matters

The Litigation Matters conference completes the annual cycle of standing EPO Matters Conferences (Search, Examination and Opposition Matters), reflecting life of a patent. It is devoted to the latest practices of patent litigation in Europe, with particular attention to the Unified Patent Court (UPC). The conference is held over two consecutive mornings and is of interest to judges, lawyers and patent attorneys and litigators.

Opposition Matters

Opposition Matters is the EPO's key event for professional users to keep abreast of the latest and most relevant developments in opposition proceedings. With EPO examiners and lawyers presenting alongside senior European patent attorneys, participants will hear about the best practices they have derived from years of opposition experience. Panel discussions and presentations given by various presenters will give participants direct insight into the work involved in opposition proceedings from several viewpoints.
